This well- known multinational non-food FMCG company had reviewed
its pool of talent as part of a benchmarking and succession planning
exercise. The net result being the need to address a number of resourcing
issues namely a need to reduce its rate of attrition and the need
to raise the calibre of its team by attracting higher potential
employees.
A programme of activity was actioned which included;
- A workshop with senior managers to determine a Talent brief/
Talent template.
- A number of key personnel assessed against the template for
their capability.
- A major internal perception survey to determine the views of
the current employees.
- Analysis of a number of FMCG organisations as a potential pool
for future hires.
The internal perception survey and subsequent creation of a steering
group to action highlighted improvements has had a profound effect
upon company morale. A common understanding of what is a ‘high
achiever’ has been agreed upon and a number of talented individuals
operating in the business have been identified and their capabilities
recognised. Finally a pool of potential candidates have been identified
for future recruitment needs.

Service Offering: Talent Acquisition
This UK own label manufacturer has a turnover circa
£319 m. with 3,500 employees. It is a major supplier to all
of the country's leading food retailers with several Manufacturing
sites with its operational expertise playing an integral role in
its success.
A brief was shaped to identify and appoint an individual
to lead Category Innovation to drive the growth of the Food on The
Move category. As part of a programme of Executive Search an individual
was identified to fulfil not only this brief but another exceptional
candidate was approached and appointed which resulted in a company
restructure such was the belief that the individual could have a
significant impact upon their future performance.

Service Offering: Talent Management Consultancy
This Executive Search firm has been operating for
21 years. Underpinning its success in the sourcing of key individuals
for its client base at senior Management and Executive Board level
is a best in class internal research team. A project was commissioned
by the Organisation’s MD to review and propose a new performance
review process. After meeting all the members of the team to discuss
current key performance measures and having reviewed the Operational
Business Plan a new Performance Model was written by Accelerant
and put into place within the week. It incorporated both a set of
KPIs and a process for capturing the data from each assignment but
also a competency matrix giving the team valuable insight into how
to demonstrate over-performance in their role which would result
in moving closer to gaining promotion.
